May 2011 Tennis Tidbits
*The GCTA would like to welcome its newest tennis players, Robert Potter and Dylan Potter.
*Sophomore Harrison Welch accumulated 161 volunteer hours in the 2011 fiscal year for the Greene County Tennis Association.
*Greene Central senior Eric Simmons was named the Eastern Plains Conference Player of the Year for the fourth consecutive year in 2011.
*Greene Central's Eric Simmons, Dylan Smith, and Robby Taylor were named to the 2011 Eastern Plains All-Conference men's tennis tennis team.
*Congratulations to senior Eric Simmons and freshman Robby Taylor for advancing to the state quarterfinals at the NCHSAA 2-A State Individual Tournament on Friday, May 13th at the Cary Tennis Center.
*The deadline to register for our Spring Mixed Doubles League is Thursday, May 19th at 9:00 p.m. Contact Coach Clark for more information if you did not receive an email about the league!
*Congratulations to Hayes Lovett for being inducted into the Greene Central National Honor Society on Tuesday, May 17th!
*Greene Central High School will be hosting the 2012 Eastern 2-A Men's Tennis Regional Tournament.
