November 2011 Tennis Tidbits
*Senior Hayes Lovett and junior Jessica Hatch have been named to the Team Connection 2011 2-A Eastern All-Region team.
*The 2012 Eastern Regional Women's Tennis Tournament will be held at Greene Central High School.
*The Greene County Tennis Association will hold its annual Member Cookout on Sunday, November 20th at 1:00 p.m. Please go ahead and put that on your calendar, and join us for hamburgers and hot dogs!
*Senior Danielle Dillane has been accepted to East Carolina University for the fall of 2012.
*Senior Danielle Dillane has been accepted to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
*Please keep the family of Lynn Garner Weston in your prayers. She was a former member of the Greene Central High School women's tennis team who graduated in 1993.
*The GCTA would like to thank Robert Deans for cooking the hamburgers and hotdogs at the annual GCTA Member Cookout on Sunday, November 20th at the Greene Central High School Tennis Complex.

*The GCTA would like to welcome our newest tennis player, Kim Shirley.
*The Greene Central varsity women's tennis team advanced to the state semifinals for the 12th time in the last 14 years in 2011. The Lady Rams have won 18 consecutive Eastern Plains Conference regular season championships, a streak that began in 1994.
*Former stars Meredith Rouse (class of 2006), Sarah Beth Carraway (class of 2007), and Amy Ivey (class of 2001) were out to support the Lady Rams in the state semifinal match against Cedar Ridge on Wednesday, November 2nd.
*Junior Jessica Hatch was named the 2011 Eastern Plains Conference Player of the Year along with Julie Hayes of Tarboro.
*Senior Danielle Dillane has been accepted to North Carolina State University.
*Senior Alex Deans has been accepted to Campbell University.
*Junior Kayla Radford was the "Around the World" champion at general practice on Monday, January 23rd!
